Reminder...
Tomorrow's launch!! (and new song lyrics)
Today, as I send along the last tracks that are mine to do, for the upcoming folk opera album Cianalas/Tãsknota, I am thinking about how I will soon be shutting down my laptop, and preparing to bring a tiny keyboard that attaches to my phone with me so I can still send you reflections and video updates from the pilgrimage to Poland, Scotland, England, and Wales.
The details for my Kickstarter are finalized and it launches tomorrow! I will be sending one quick email with the live link but for now, you can also go to the page to be notified when it launches. (For those of you who have really decided you want to help bring this film to life, they say a Kickstarter launch blooms best if the first day or two has noticeable support!)
If you haven’t watched the video yet, it really describes the current project I’m working on, and paints a rough sketch of the vision for filming the folk opera.
As I write this, I am listening to the vocals of a song that will be on the album called People of the Gift.
Here are the lyrics:
You don’t come from separateness
You don’t come from dominance
You don’t come from greed
Or scarcity
You come from wild, wild, holy love
Wild, wild, holy love
Wild, wild, holy, love
My people of the gift
You come from earth, flesh, and bone
You come from deep birthing moans
The Mother’s deep well
And a sacred indwelling
Of wild, wild, holy, love
Wild, wild, holy, love
Wild, wild, holy, love
My people of the gift
You don’t come from a Machine
You don’t come from a cynical dream
Your lust is a yearning
a great ocean churning…
For wild, wild, holy, love
Wild, wild, holy, love
Wild, wild, holy, love
My people of the gift
My people of the gift
